In this episode we talk to Michigan musician, songwriter and water protector Samantha Cooper who became one of over 900 defendants in the struggle to stop line 3 this past summer. Samantha, in collaboration with many other water protectors, recently released a song and video "Let the Wave."

We are excited to announce a new series celebrating Anishinaabek leaders called Eminazhichiget, which translates to "person who does good things for others." We hope to uplift their efforts and recognition by providing a snapshot into their work and lives, and allowing all to celebrate their success and leadership.
