Water Protector’s Training Camp (WPTC) is a new program from Title Track that provides an opportunity for young people to connect with professional artists and activists to create music, creative writing, art, and video while exploring their commitment to being a Water Protector.

The WPTC uses Leah Penniman’s Butterfly Model and will consist of 4 sessions, each themed after one of the 4 wings of the butterfly, representing 4 different ways to join and support water protection:

1. resist.
2. reform.
3. build.
4. heal.

This workshop will present a historical perspective through an Indigenous lens, educating campers about the challenges we face today, and offering tools for civic engagement, creative empowerment and community organizing. This is a new program from Title Track, which was piloted at Earthwork Harvest Gathering and is currently being offered in collaboration with SEEDS.
