Update from our partners at The Amplify Project:
Amplify 2022 Fellows Ki5 (Kyler Wilkins) and Lorian Janine (Lorian Tompkins) are in full swing of the program. Each of them are beginning work on their as-yet-untitled projects due this summer. They are receiving assistance from previous fellows like London Beck as well as fellowship partners like Taylor Greenshields from Fundamental Sound Co. here in Ypsilanti.
Recently, the partners performed at “Our Voices,” a Black History program supported by the Washtenaw Democratic Party. The fellowship is also working on a sound curation project for Washtenaw County to collect sounds distinct to the area for inclusion on the audio projects from the fellows.
