TCAPS Changes Graduation Wear Rules, Allows Tribal Regalia

Miigwech/thank you to all of the tribal members and Indigenous leaders who organized and spoke in favor of this important matter of identity and cultural pride, including our own Co-Executive Director Holly T. Bird wearing her TCAPS School Board member hat. We are also encouraged by all of the members of the wider community, including many from our Understanding Racial Justice alumni community, who showed up in support and solidarity of this change which will allow for greater cultural and religious expression for graduating Traverse City Area Public School students.
