#Repost @grace.rother My favorite spot @4lwcoffee is hosting a raffle for this quilted butterfly cat hat! Head over to their page for details :)
Those of you who participated in the Abolition Quilting Bee might remember 4LW because you mailed your quilt squares there! They are some of the finest folks making some of the finest coffee. I’m proud to be their neighbor and to get to advocate for a better future alongside them.
The raffle will raise funds for @titletrackmichigan which is group near and dear to my heart. Their mission is engaging creative practice to build resilient social-ecological systems that support clean water, racial equity, and youth empowerment. Their dreams for the future are my dreams!
This hat is quilted with 100% reclaimed garment linen sourced in Chicago. Before it became butterflies this fabric clothed the bodies of folks who are roughly 60% made up of Lake Michigan. Just like me, just like many of you!
(If you’re local you can buy tickets at the cafe’s walk-up window alongside your coffee!!)
