Oryana Community Co-op and The State Theater are proud to present a free screening of the 2020 film Gather: The Fight to Revitalize Our Native Foodways on Monday, May 15 at 7pm.
The film will be followed by a panel discussion and Q&A led by Traverse City-based attorney and Indigenous activist, Holly T. Bird. The panel will feature Indigenous artists, activists, and land stewards: Darylin Berryman, Tricia Denton, Jamie John, and Tera John.
Oryana, the State Theatre, and Indigenous community members have partnered to present this free community event to celebrate 50 years of meaningful community partnerships. This milestone is an important time to reflect on the past and look forward to the future to continually improve our connection to food and land.
