World Water Day 2023 is Wednesday + an update from the Clean Water Campaign for MI

As we celebrate World Water Day 2023 with water protectors and activists from across the world this Wednesday, we join in calling for an acceleration in action as we recognize the human right to water. Many great events and opportunities for action are happening this week (click on any of the graphics for more info) in Michigan, virtually, and across the country and world.

Stay tuned for some exciting events and new programs from our Clean Water Campaign for MI in the weeks and months to come and make sure to listen in to some of our wonderful recent episodes of the State of Water Podcast, featuring conversations with inspiring water protectors and leaders from across the state. Thanks for all that you do to help care for our waters!

Join us TOMORROW, Tuesday, March 21st at 12 noon for this virtual celebration, presented by Freshwater Future. Our own co-executive director Seth Bernard will be providing some music as part of the festivities. Register here.

FLOW (For Love of Water) will host a webinar—The Case for a Statewide Septic Code: Michigan Must Inspect Septic Systems to Protect Fresh Water—on Tuesday, March 21, from 12 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. EDT.

The online session will offer legal, scientific, economic, and political perspectives on the urgent need and critical opportunity for Michigan to finally join the rest of the nation in adopting a law to protect public health and fresh water from septic pollution. The online event is free and open to the public. Register today!

Title Track is a proud member and participating organization of PolicyLink’s Water Equity and Climate Resilience Caucus (WECR), an assembly of environmental justice activists from around the country. We join the WECR’s #WorldWaterDay campaign of #WaterIsAHumanRight, and will be sharing resources and opportunities for action throughout the day on Wednesday on our website and Title Track and Clean Water Campaign for MI social media.

A broad coalition of water organizations has come together to organize a day of action in Lansing on World Water Day, this Wednesday, March 22. Complete this form to notify organizers that you will attend World Water Day (WWD) activities at the capitol on WEDNESDAY, MARCH 22, 2023 from 9am to 2pm.
