Water is Life Festival 2024 this August 31! Water Weekend events happening all weekend!

“If you want to make reparations, you bend over backwards to protect this land and the water because this is my home.”

Water is Life Festival organizer, Jannan Cornstalk, reflecting on what non-Native people can do to be in solidarity with Indigenous water protectors in Episode 35 of State of Water.

Join Jannan and many others from across the region this Saturday, August 31 on the Petoskey waterfront from 12-9pm for the Water is Life Festival. This free, family-friendly annual celebration of our connection to the water builds community through music, story, food, art and more. Title Track’s Seth Bernard will be performing at 3:50pm and our co-executive director Holly T. Bird will also be in attendance. We hope to see many from our community there!
