One year ago this weekend, Title Track convened a two day Anti-Oppression training, facilitated by Mia Henry of Freedom Lifted and Title Track’s cultural healing facilitator, Elizabeth Wolff, and funded by Rotary Charities of Traverse City. A packed room of folks affiliated with regional non-profit orgs learned, grew, and healed together and it was good.
It has been heartening to see the interest in this work increase exponentially in Northern Michigan over the past 12 months, and we have a lot more work to do. We send our gratitude to the 150+ individuals who have participated in the first four cohorts of our Understanding Racial Justice online course, and we can already see the positive impact it’s having in our communities and the influence folks are bringing to their institutions and sectors.
If you are interested in taking action, learning more, connecting with other good hearted well-intentioned folks, and discovering pathways to work for collective liberation, this is a great step forward on that path. We’re building capacity and building community. We’re here to help.
