Native American Heritage Month & Decolonizing Thanksgiving
As we honor Native American Heritage Month and encourage our community to decolonize Thanksgiving, we invite you to check out this wonderful resource from Bioneers that includes articles, books, movies, and educational resources.
The Neahtawanta Research & Education Center co-sponsored the Great Lakes Bioneers Conference from 2002-2012 along with SEEDS. Title Track is honored to carry NREC’s torch onwards! The Bioneers movement has continued on as an innovative nonprofit organization that highlights breakthrough solutions for restoring people and planet including a programming focus on Indigeneity.
We extend our thanks and recognition of the sacrifices that the Anishinaabek made in order for all of us residing in Michigan to be here – whether through battle, dislocation, or by Treaty. In this spirit of gratitude, we invite you to donate to our Indigenous Mutual Aid fund: Eagle and Condor. Title Track is honored to serve as the fiscal sponsor for this network that emerged in the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic to respond to the immediate needs of Indigenous communities across Turtle Island. This fund continues to provide regular financial assistance to our Michigan Indigenous community and respond to emergent needs.
