Breathing Life into the Water: Protecting the Legacy of Holly T. Bird

We are pleased to share that the Grand Traverse Regional Community Foundation has launched the Holly T. Bird Clean Water Endowment at the Community Foundation. We are grateful for the Community Foundation’s efforts in carrying on Holly’s legacy and supporting clean water efforts across the region.

“The purpose of the Fund shall be to support regional water stewardship and protection through activism and advocacy work, education, programming, and legal efforts that safeguard our local streams, rivers, lakes, and watersheds, with priority given to Indigenous-led efforts.”

You can contribute to the fund online or by sending a check made out to the “Grand Traverse Regional Community Foundation” with the memo of Holly T. Bird Clean Water Endowment at the Community Foundation.
