Honoring Sally Van Vleck

For the occasion of Women’s History Month, Title Track wishes to give our deepest gratitude and love to Sally Van Vleck.

Not only is Sally the cofounder of our parent organization (the Neahtawanta Research and Education Center) and a founding board member of Title Track, but she is a singular hero who has been a touchstone and a guiding light to us as an activist, organizer, healer, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and now great-grandmother.

Sally’s dedication to work for the common good has been as deep as Lake Superior and her contributions to our community have been immense through many decades.

She has modeled how to hold a circle and honor every voice, how to practice consensus, how to fully dedicate one’s self to movement work over time, and how to maintain life-giving practices and honor one’s grief process through challenging times.

We encourage you to learn more about Sally’s legacy and Title Track’s origin story here. It is our greatest honor to carry the torch forward. Please join us in honoring a great woman. We wouldn’t be here without her. Cheers to Sally Van Vleck!

What makes Title Track exceptional is that the work is infused and interwoven with art in all forms. Creativity is unifying, uplifting, and reaches people on a deeper dimension. Thus, the work becomes engaging, compelling, and igniting.” -Sally Van Vleck

The Sally Van Vleck Fund for Youth Empowerment will be used to promote youth activism and involvement in social change work through creative practices, trainings, scholarships, and internships with an emphasis on young people who have traditionally had fewer opportunities, due to racial and/or economic inequities. We were thrilled to announce in 2021 the creation of this fund in honor of Sally’s many years of dedication and service.

Please consider giving a one-time or recurring donation by designating the Sally Van Vleck Fund for Youth Empowerment at checkout.
