Synapse Vol. 1 featuring meteorologist Dave Barron’s Earth Day 1990 reflection

As I read this piece from Synapse, I think about my own feelings and actions when it comes to the environment and my relationship to it. It’s easy to feel pessimistic when environmental reports come out with grim findings and seeing little to no action from leaders today. I think about Earth Day celebrations from grade school; the work and enthusiasm the teachers put into the activities and lessons about climate change and what we can do as individuals. I always felt hopeful and inspired after those lessons and felt that I could really make change. That hope and inspiration are important aspects of change that can really drive us to commit to this work. I commit to finding this hope and inspiration in everyday life, such as seeing all of the work from Title Track, a beautiful day, or even by celebrating Earth Day. -Coda Mix, Title Track Intern
