Staff Spotlight Series – June 2021

Hey y’all! My name is Annie Lively and I use she/her/hers or they/them/theirs pronouns. I’m interning with Title Track this summer and am so excited to be on this amazing team. This post is the first in a series of staff spotlights! All week I’ll be sharing a photo and responses to 3 quick questions from each wonderful staff member at Title Track. Here are mine!🌼

*What makes you most excited about working at Title Track?

“I’ve grown up listening to Seth Bernard with my family and friends. His music has accompanied my family of musicians, farmers, activists, and goofballs my whole life! It is an honor to get to work with Seth. I’ve spent the last 4 years at James Madison College of MSU learning about the structural contexts of social and environmental issues in this world, and that process can often come with a feeling of helplessness. This work feels like my first step towards actually engaging with social and ecological challenges in Michigan. I am so excited to work with and learn from people who have so much to teach.”

*What is a favorite memory of yours associated with water?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“One favorite memory is going canoeing with my dad on a small kettle lake outside of Glen Arbor, MI. We did it a few days before I left for college as a freshman 4 years ago. It was also right before the first LivelyLands festival, which my oldest sister has orchestrated for the past four years. There was a lot of chaos in our lives at the time but the two of us committed to finding a canoe and a few quiet hours together on one of my favorite lakes. It was a special morning with my dad and it’s one of many wonderful memories I have on the water!”

*What do you look forward to this summer?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“I’m excited to do plenty of adventuring this summer. I plan to spend my free time building, farming, hiking, and swimming! I would also be remiss if I didn’t mention how excited I am to be a part of Title Track. I have a feeling there will be no shortage of magic this summer!
